Morgat is on the NW corner of the bay. It is another seaside town that depends on tourism. Unfortunately, when we visited it, there was an almighty thunderstorm so we probably didn’t see it in its best light!
Douarnenez is a pretty seaside village on the opposite side of the bay from Morgat and used to be the centre of the sardine industry in Brittany. It has reinvented itself and has a large ship museum both inside and on the quay. The museum gives a fascinating insight into the history of boatbuilding and lovingly restored examples of different vessels.
