Nimrod was modified during construction so that the Skipper’s berth (behind the chart table) was replaced with two full length lockers. One is now a tool shed and the other a hanging locker for our wet weather gear. It also houses our watermaker.

Nimrod is a great ocean going cruiser but she had not been fitted out for blue water, liveaboard cruising. Since her purchase in 2008, we have replaced, renewed, checked and upgraded as she was launched in 1998 and many things wear out over a ten year period. Even the fridge has been converted to keel cooled as the sea temperature will also be lower than the ambient air temperature and so uses less power to keep food cool.

She can sleep 7 with 3 in the main saloon  but this is only to be recommended for a short weekend as moving about the boat with 7 of you aboard is a little cramped!
