As you can see, we spent far more time than we wanted to in marinas this time but there were very few anchorages along the East coast of Italy and we had an enforced stay at Vieste for ten days to sort the gearbox/engine issues. Also, due to family circumstances, we had to return back to the UK three times and that required us to put the boat in a marina for a week at a time. Add to that a week in Venice and a week in Pula (when we celebrated Jo’s 60th in a villa and you can see how we spent half our time in marinas, even though it would never be our first choice!
